Buy a Book for the Hurley School!

Like many inner-city schools, the Hurley School often has a shortage of supplies. While there are many books in the classrooms (due largely to the teachers themselves) a rule of thumb for every classroom library is that there should be 300-600 books at a wide range of levels, and 2-3 new books should be added annually per child. To reach these goals, the Neighborhood Parents for the Hurley School asked the teachers to submit wish lists of books they would like to have in their classrooms. We have created an Amazon Wishlist with these requests. Many of these books are available in new or very good condition from used books sellers that use the Amazon site, and can be purchased for far less than retail price.

If you would like to purchase a book for the Hurley School, please take a look at the list and browse the “new and used” editions as well. While any form of the book would be appreciated, School Binding editions are preferable. Additionally, any purchase you make through this wish list or any other part of the Amazon site will garner additional funds for improvements through the school when you start your shopping from this link.
